ACSR conductor:
The predominant choice for overhead conductors in distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission lines is the ACSR conductor. Comprising multiple layers of 1350-H aluminium enveloping one or more steel wires (galvanized, aluminium-clad, or Galfan-Coated), this conductor type enhances strength-to-weight ratio. This advancement enables extended span lengths and reduced overall costs.
The Aluminium Conductor Steel Supported (ACSS):
represents a category of High-Temperature-Low-Sag (HTLS) conductors, offering distinct advantages over conventional ACSR conductors. ACSS conductors feature the incorporation of 1350-O annealed aluminium wires in contrast to the standard 1350-H19 variant used in ACSR conductors.
The Aluminium Conductor Composite Core (ACCC):
ACCC conductors are meticulously engineered to operate continuously at elevated temperatures of 180 °C, with the capacity to withstand emergency conditions of up to 200 °C for brief durations. In the construction of ACCC conductors, a composite core provides structural integrity, around which trapezoidal-shaped annealed 1350-O aluminium wires with exceptional electrical conductivity are meticulously arranged.
